SUPPORT TO AUDIO-ORAL COMPETENCE:ROSETTA STONE

We have started a pilot programme using Rosetta Stone software for three months. This project is part of an innovation program launched by the Catalan Department of Education where teachers and students test the digital software of Rosetta Stone,a company that has provided online language learning materials for many years. The software has voice recognition software, so the students can interact with the computer, "talking" to it and getting feedback. We will publish the results of the project when it is over.

STUDENTS' PORTFOLIOS

This year we are creating students' portfolios: students create their blogs and are learning to record themselves using Audacity and then they upload their recodings to their blogs. They also upload their writings and other assignments. The goal of the portfolio is to show a roadmap to the individual's learning style, demonstrate progress in goals and to serve as an encouragement and celebration of skills.

The students' blogs are listed here
